Power of Trust [Video]

Whether or not you're a sports fan, you will appreciate this commercial created by Duracell, featuring Patrick Willis, an all-pro linebacker in the NFL. I watch this video every morning. Here's what he says,

“Looking back on it, on how I got to where I am, I don’t know if it was because I was running towards something, or running away from it. But that didn’t matter. What I did know is, when you run into something -- something bigger, something meaner, something with the power to knock you down -- you have to trust in yourself. Trust that you can get back up -- and not give in. Ever. Because power isn’t just about going forward. It’s about not letting anything hold you back. You find it in yourself, you can go anywhere you want.”

Here is the video.

This week, I've been crowdsourcing ideas for what people would like the focus of 2013 to be on. I'll announce what it is on Monday -- in the meantime, let this inspiring video serve as a hint.

Jamaica, Inspiration and the 5 Ways to Attract Women

One of the most beautiful places in the world.I wrote this while I was in Jamaica last week, helping prepare for and attending my grandfather’s funeral.

I was going to share this with my Labs members but decided to share this one with the world.

It’s more raw than my normal writings and hope you appreciate that.

There is always a lesson to be learned from every experience. Here’s is what I learned from mine.

News regarding Breakup Recovery

It's time to close the wound and move forward. After recovering from the flu and reading emails from you guys for the past week, I’ll post this short message.

It’s clear to me that there isn’t any solid material on recovering from a breakup. We focus so much of our time on getting into relationships when there are just as many people out there getting OUT of them.

I’ve literally had one of my new clients have incredible breakthroughs with his recent ex and I talked to him literally days before.

Tip Tuesday: Career Women Are Too Intimidating

Every Tuesday, we ask people from Team Wingman & Twitter what they would like me to talk about. It could be a general topic or a direct question. I’ll choose the best one and later that day, I’ll write something and give tips addressing that topic or question.

Keep meeting dudes that are intimidated. How do I nab a confident dude?

I decided to take a different approach to this one and ask follow up questions to get a clearer idea. Then, we got to the heart of the issue. We'll go play-by-play. I want to thank her for allowing me to share this conversation anonymously as she is an awesome gal!

I asked her where she is going to meet her potentials? Her answer:

Monday Maverick: Set Milestones

The ladder may be high, but you can still get to the top.

Every Monday I’ll be giving tips on different perspectives on dating that will “free Your mind.” Like a true Maverick, I’ll give an unorthodox approach to everyday scenarios that will help you in your dating life and potentially beyond.

Set milestones for your dating life.

When I ask clients what they would like to accomplish in their dating lives, they usually say the same thing.

"I'd like a wife / husband," or, "I really want a girlfriend / boyfriend."

And when I ask them how they are planning to get there, it's unfortunately the same thing.

Monday Maverick: Go Out Alone

Kick it old school. Go out by yourself.

Every Monday I’ll be giving tips on different perspectives on dating that will “free Your mind.”Like a true Maverick, I’ll give an unorthodox approach to everyday scenarios that will help you in your dating life and potentially beyond.

Going out alone.

This past weekend, I had a chance to meet with a couple now-new clients and it was clear to me that their problem is a common issue among most people I know.

Dating & Lifestyle Kickstart Guide in Review

As we prepare for an amazing SXSW and wind down from the launch of the Wingman University Online Membership Program, I wanted to share some quick thoughts on the guide.

Remember when I declared 2011 the Year of the Hustle? I meant it. But just because you didn't start when I started, or when your friend did, doesn't mean it's too late for you to start.

Sometimes you just can't get started when you'd like to. And that's ok. I would rather you be ready to go now and able to put in 1000% effort than to take on the added responsibility, knowing you have other things that will take away from that 1000%. The only way you'll reap the benefits is if you fully devote yourself to it.

Here's the full overview of the 4-week Dating & Lifestyle Kickstart Guide, so you don't have to look for it.

Book the Ideal Social Calendar in 10 Weeks

This is fourth and last week of the 2011 Dating and Lifestyle Kickstart Guide. Tuesdays, we've covered the lifestyle aspect. If you missed it, here are week 1, week 2, and week 3.

I’ve made a conscious effort to really focus on people who are looking to make change. Sometimes, you need someone to cut through the non-sense and tell you what’s truly preventing you from success. The problem is most people don’t want to hear it. “It’s too harsh,” they would say. I think it’s even more interesting that when it comes to feedback, most people ASSUME it’s negative.
