What's Thomas Up To?
Yesterday was such a surprise to run into a long-time friend. . When you have kids, it's like the first year - or many - go by in a flash and you lose touch with some people, even close friends. . It's not something you plan on but it really takes some getting used to being a parent and then realizing you still have a life. . I can't wait to force our children to be friends. You can see their excitement about it all.
This picture pretty much sums up last week's visit to Boston. . So grateful for #family.
It has been quite the week. But it actually started last week when Ellie got a sick (she's fine now). And if you're a parent, you know what happens after. I got sick, then @lauriedavisedwards got sick shortly after that. It was bad. . During that time, Ellie was still doing what she always does –– grow and develop like she has been since she was born. . That got me thinking... . When did we decide to stop growing like we did when we were babies? What's truly holding us back from growing at such an accelerated pace today? . And when we're sick, why does it become an excuse to stop doing everything? . Then yesterday, Laurie reminded me that often times, Ellie gets sick BECAUSE she's growing. . What if that's true for us? . I talk a lot about this in my latest episode of #TheWeeklyIntention. . And yes, I was sick when I did this. .
