Movember, the month formerly known as November, is a global charity event where men lose their facial hair inhibitions and commit to grow and groom a ‘Mo’ (Aussie slang for moustache) for the month of November, and while doing so, raise funds and awareness for men’s health –specifically prostate and testicular cancer. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer afflicting men aged 18-35, and prostate cancer will affect 1 in 6 men. Last year, Dave Lendler, a Boston “Mo Bro,” raised the most funds for Movember in Boston, and was the official party planner for the local Movember gala event. Dave will be at Vlora to tell us how to get involved with Movember this year. A moustache may or may not help your dating game, but as Dave will tell you, Movember is a great excuse to raise awareness for men’s health and grow a mo!
