OURSTORY When one of Thomas’ friends requested he be his wingman to pursue a woman he was interested in, he offered to pay for Thomas’ drinks for his help with talking to her. Soon after, the business was created. Thomas started the company in March 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts. The only comparison that can be drawn to what Thomas has accomplished is the popular romantic-comedy character “Hitch” who people have considered him to be the real-life version of. Thomas has helped individuals find relationships and more fulfilling lives through personal development and lifestyle strategy. With his unique approach to helping others find love combined with his infectious personality, he has been able to help single people of all kinds find the happiness they’ve been looking for. Most of The Professional Wingman’s clients are smart, successful individuals in need of understanding what is preventing them from connecting with the people they desire. Some of these individuals are in their 20s, looking to understand how to socialize after college. Some are eligible singles in their late 30s who are looking to settle down. Others are in their 40s who may be divorced and are ready to transition into something new. Whatever the case is, The Professional Wingman has proven to be able to prepare anyone to find love implementing his unique methods. Using social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and YouTube Thomas has been able to build an audience of thousands of people. The company’s first big break was in October 2009 when Thomas was featured in the Wall Street Journal for a simple Flipcam video he posted on YouTube. Since then, The Professional Wingman has been featured in many major media outlets including CNN, Cosmopolitan, Ebony Magazine and Fox Business. Thomas has been a guest blogger for Maxim Magazine, the host of LoveNation, a web show that covers emerging trends in the dating world, and is currently the expert dating coach for StyleBoston, a lifestyle show on WCVB Channel 5. Today, The Professional Wingman has become #1 dating and lifestyle strategy company and has since expanded operations to New York City (January 2011) and Washington, D.C. (September 2011). |
